Set in 2071 amidst post-Third World War America, “Song of Silence” follows Greta, the matriarch of a mute, female-led community rebuilt after the fall of an extremist patriarchal system. When her son returns from the frontlines, Greta is forced to confront an impossible choice—one that challenges both the love she has for him and the principles she’s vowed to protect.
The film, shot on 35mm, features an all-deaf female cast and was created by an entirely female team of filmmakers, offering a unique and authentic exploration of a post-war society led by women.
