This movie is a black comedy about six ordinary people on a journey of self-discovery as they navigate through the surreal and absurd realities of life. The six protagonists are in a state of loss and confusion, plagued by their own personal crises. When they are presented with the temptation of $30,000, their inner turmoil explodes and over the course of an intensive 24 hours, they must find themselves and reach for lost courage to make a new start.
An uncle and nephew trying to recover from the mistake of a failed high-stakes investment; a screenwriter and adulterer trapped in a fantasy of self-deceit and forbidden love; and a lover afraid to face abandonment are brought together at the nearly bankrupt Anna’s bar because of $30,000. Three storylines weave together the lives of the six individuals as they become entangled in a purported kidnapping, betrayal and trickery that ultimately bring the story to a dramatic climax. In the end, good and evil receive their just rewards with only those steeped in kindness able to regain the courage to live.
