Best Feature Documentary Film
As a teenager, Flore meets Habieb, an orphaned teenager living on the Indonesian island of Lombok. It was an encounter that shook her to the core. A few years later, she decides to return to film him, but Habieb has changed, and so has the island of Lombok. She discovers that Habieb has a family with very complex relationships, and by learning Sasak, she manages to integrate into the village. But it’s not without risks, and Flore soon finds herself caught up in a relentless generational mechanism that’s about to overtake her.
