A woman invents the first stable fusion reaction and instead of a promotion, her boss tries to eliminate her to use the invention for military purposes. It backfires, the world ends, the woman then go out on a mission to shut down all active nuclear plants before they reach core meltdown, but there are new terrors created by the gamma wave that eradicated most of the human population.
