Behind Gates is the story of a young girl “Bih” who faces a tragedy on the eve of her wedding: a violent encounter between her fiancé and rival which causes the death of her parents forcing Bih to flee from the village to the city for safety.
In the city somehow after a couple of misfortunes, luck shines on her as she finds favor in the eyes of a rich woman; but again, this luck is temporal as her madam soon passes on under painful circumstances leaving Bih in the hands of cruel men who all want a piece of her body including the master of the house.
